Non-covalent bonds such as hydrogen bonds in organic semiconductors have found interest and applications in organic devices by optimizing certain parameters such as their stability or charge conductivity. However, few studies or articles have been published on this subject. Thus, a systematic study of hydrogen bonds through the urea function was carried out on the optoelectronic properties and performances of organic semiconductors. Being used as pigments or dyes in industry, the diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP) pattern is used as a model system. This study focuses on these derivatives functionalized by urea chains. Our attention is focused on the planarity due to the presence of alkyne or alkane functions, the distance of the urea function according to the DPP nucleus, the functionalization on the thiophene or lactam nucleus. Finally, the study and comparison of optoelectronic and self-assembly properties was carried out via techniques such as spectroscopy (UV, IR), electrochemical methods and the fabrication of organic electronic devices.
